After having organized a successful pilot project in 2021, the M.R.C. of Temiscamingue, the Société de développement du Témiscamingue (SDT) and their logistic partner Endurance Aventure are very pleased to announce the official return of an International raid for 2023 in Canada!
The International Témiscamingue Raid will take place September 8th to 10th 2023 on one of the wildest territories in Canada where lakes, rivers and forests form a dream playground for adventurers in search of challenges. Two days of raid with camp and a prologue on the territory of the Anishnabe Nation will await the racers. For the Friday prologue, teams will be paired with local youth athletes.
160 km of trail running, trekking, mountain biking, canoeing, orienteering not to mention the famous ropes sections will make up this spectacular raid!
Small hint on the course, the Témiscamingue region has more than 7000 lakes, there is a small chance that racers will get a bit wet on the raid!
The raid in a few words :
- 2 stages and a prologue totaling 3 days of racing and 160 km of course in the heart of the Anishnabe territory:
- Orienteering
- Mountain biking
- Canoe
- Ropes event
- And many surprises...
- Team of two (man, woman or mixed) with assistance
- 25 teams max.
An International Showcase for Temiscamingue
The Raid Témiscamingue will broadcast, through a television production distributed worldwide, a glimpse of the natural attractions and cultural riches of Temiscamingue. The program will thus reach potential adventure-nature tourists on all five continents.
