XPD Expedition
Outside XPD Interest Crashes the Printer!
Lysanne de Graaf / 25.02.2006

After only the first two days of racing, the conservative page count with spaces removed and font size reduced took up 234 pages!!
It’s been quite a job, but one that HQ have been more than happy putting in lots of effort to get as much as they can out to teams. The girls also spent hours working through their own much-needed sleep time sifting through the reams of paper to divide all the messages up per team.
Narcissus Hut (CP24) at the northern end of Lake St Clair is where the teams are able to get their messages up to date to 48 hours ago. Teams are getting a real energy boost and lift from hearing from their family and friends, especially at this point after having pushed themselves so hard for so long.
Team ‘Mont Crank’ received some special song lyrics amongst their messages and while it tempted them to sit and read it all right there and then, this team is very disciplined. They made the call to keep from reading them until they are hiking again and can better savour the moment – what restraint!
The teams appreciate all the support so much – please keep the messages coming . . .
