The 2 Steves: Dirty Dozen?

Proof positive that us Buddhists are right...soon as I start writing nasty things I get ill. That\'s karma for you.
TNK-Kona have obviously got a fair bit of goodwill saved up in the KarmaBank, because they\'re steadily moving up the field and, being a strong paddling side, should finish well. I still can\'t see them cracking into the top 10 though, but if they finish they\'ll finish top 12. Why? Because the way things are going only a dozen or so teams will actually finish ranked.
Sadly, Bridgedale and Lupus are both out of the race...there\'s no word yet as to what has happened to either team, but hopefully it\'s nothing serious. I feel especially bad for Naomi from XL-Lupus, this is her second attempt at Eco and her second DNF. Third time lucky hopefully...
On a happier note, A-Tek are moving strongly up the field and hopefully they\'ll manage a ranked finish, although it\'s going to be tough. I\'m also gutted for Buff - the Spaniards are a nice bunch and had performed superbly, but when they realised how much paddling was to come their hearts must have sank, as they\'re not in the same league as the Aussies, Kiwis and Go-Lite on the water. I wouldn\'t be surprised if that\'s what took the wind out of their sails and forced them to pull out...
