Sole was the first team to finish the 550Km course at Ecomotion Pro 2006 and win the cash prize of US$35.000,00. They arrived in Paraty at 22h 49 using individual kayaks.

\"We\'ve been in Brazil 5 or 6 times and Rio de Janeiro was the most beautiful. Every time we turned a corner we saw a new landscape, something unbeliveable, like the jungle, rain forest, the water\" said Paul Romero, team captain. \"The first two days we\'re in rain, in cold, without the right clothes for the weather we were in on those mountains, and we\'ve got very hypothermic 3 times\", said Romero when asked about the hardest part of the race.

\"Our bicycles kept breaking, we made some big mistakes, we lost our batteries, many small things were not right and we didn\'t feel very good, but the four of us stayed like this (they hugged each other) the whole race, we laughed together and fought against the bad weather together, so things start to get better for us when other team were getting problems\", Romero added.
