XPD 3rd Edition
Countdown to XPD
SleepMonsters Australia / 20.08.2007

The course is a closely guarded secret still and will only be revealed in the 24hrs preceeding the race. The lead teams are expected to complete the race in around 5 days, but with no mid race cut offs the rest of the field had 10 days to complete the event.
As in previous years the race is unsupported with gear being placed into plastic trunks and moved to various transitions around the course by the race organisers. When asked about the logistics of this years race compared to last year, race diretcor Craig Bycroft said, \"This year logistically it is certainly easier\".
Alot of hard work has been done this year with local departments, councils and various organisations in order to make this another great event, and when asked if it the orgainisers would be putting their feet up after the starter\'s gun goes, Craig\'s response was \"I don\'t think so! A collective sigh of relief maybe but then the whole task of looking after the teams begins.\"
The event would not be possible without alot of support from Mountain Designs, Sevylor and ProTrek-Casio Sport, not forgetting Officials and Volunteers alike.
Also as a member of the AR World Series, XPD is a qualifying event for the Adventure Race World Championship.
