Into the Second Day Injuries Force Several Teams to Withdraw

Only two teams are on the full race course at just 2 days into the race. Teams Nature Calls and Uruk Hai are the only teams left on the full course. Team Uruk Hai has left the paddle section of the Silver Spring River and begun trekking on the Florida Trail toward Santos Mountain Bike Trailhead. On the trekking section with him are Team Adventure World Magazine, Team Canine Chasing their Tails, Team Humdingers and Team Low Country which has returned to the course to finish the race unranked.

On the river still are Teams Lost in Florida and Nature Calls. Team Lost in Florida is the lone team in the Relay Category, but they are racing like the entire field is on their heels. Team Nature Calls is the last team competing in the 4 person elite category and not far from the take out at Silver Spring River. Watching the teams track on TrackMe360.com shows the teams has made an error in navigation. The team took a branch off the Silver Spring River and ended up a couple miles from the actual take out.

From the Santos Mountain Bike Trailhead teams will climb on their bikes and head for the finish line in Crystal River. With Team Low Country re entering the course we will have 6 teams riding to the finish line.

Teams Going Duty, Grundle and Troy have withdrawn from the race due to various non life threatening injuries. Teams Lost in Florida, Humdingers and Canine Chasing Their Trail are on the shortened course. Team Adventure World Magazine is racing unranked due to losing two teammates.
