Congratulations to all those who made it to the ninth annual Florida Coast to Coast Adventure Race starting line and braved the heat! Five teams crossed the finish line in ranked status with Nature Calls taking top honors. The team was comprised of Lori and Jim Gabbert, Manny Otero, and Jason Amadori, who will receive a free entry to next year’s race, top prizes, and 69 points for USARA rankings. Nature Calls, Colin Comerford aka Uruk Hai, and Julie Ardoin and Dr. Ron Eaglin of Adventure World Magazine completed the full course. Lost in Florida, Humdingers, Canine Chasing their Tails. Low Country, although withdrawn, got back on the course to experience the race a bit more. (Note: For those who thought they were Hallucinating monkeys, you actually did see monkeys along Silver River on the way to the Silver River State Park.)

They are Cross Florida Greenway Trails, Cross Seminole Trail, Florida Division of Recreation and Parks & the DEP, Wekiwa Springs State Park, Rock Springs State Preserve, Silver River State Park, Blue Springs State Park, Hontoon Island State Park, Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area, Department of Agriculture – Division of Forestry and Little Big Econ. We would also like to thank the Suntrust Bank Branch and Adventure Cycles, both of which served as a Transition Area.
