The Bull of Africa
Race briefing and welcome dinner at Inkwenkwezi Game Reserve

All 42 Bull of Africa teams were formally introduced to the rest of the group when they entered the venue with their national flags to the beat of Johnny Clegg’s “Scatterlings of Africa.�
Race organiser, Hano Otto, welcomed the guests, introduced the Bull of Africa 2008 with great enthusiasm and revealed the much anticipated route information. Other speakers included Captain of Police, John Fabian and the Mayor of Amathole District Municipality, Alderman Sakhumzi Somyo. The VIP list featured patron of the AR World Series, Geoff Hunt and the event’s sponsors.
A group of pupils from Byletts – a school in the Balugha region – entertained the visitors with an unforgettable performance of traditional Xhosa song and dance.
Apart from receiving valuable medical, safety and regulatory information, athletes were given a warm, traditional South African welcome and everyone is more excited than ever to finally embark on the Bull of Africa Adventure Race.
All 42 teams are now registered, and the race is scheduled to start at the Katberg Golf Estate at 8am tomorrow morning!
