A few hours from the start, everyone is anxious but ready to go!

All the teams from around the world finally arrived in Blanc-Sablon Quebec for the Coast Raid. After a few problems, we hope the equipment will be here tonight, in time for the start tomorrow morning. Some teams lost their luggage and their bikes on their way to the event. The airline companies seem to see the missing and delayed baggage as a typical occurence up here and are unconcerned.

Some of the competitors from Quebec arrived by car, after a 3 day drive, two ferry rides, across 3 provinces to get here. All the participants are getting their gear organized for the race. In the next hours, the maps and instructions will be distributed.

After a few days of rain, wind and fog, the weather is supposed to clear out in the next few days. Local people are giving a hand to the volounteers to get everything ready. The opening ceremony will be held in a local school. The organization had to rescheduled the presentation not to interfere with the Wednesday night \'Bingo\'!
