Donning huge smiles, Chris Caul, Ronny Angell, Kristen Eddy and Chris Scott arrived back to the Start/Finish today at 5:00 pm guaranteeing them the first place PRO2 ranking. They raved about what they called the most beautiful, most fun and hardest race any of them had ever done. "We hauled the entire time beginning with that first bike, but we laughed the whole time and just had so much fun," said captain Ronny Angell, who is known for his extreme intensity while racing.

Chris Caul added that the team exercised the same teamwork seen in the first bike leg throughout the whole race. This dream team was racing as a foursome for the first time, and all three guys on the team lauded Kristen as the best athlete any of them had raced with - men or women. Kristen has a tough reputation and makes racing look seemingly effortless.

Under the finish line and looking no worse for the wear, she talked about the sunflower field they trekked through, the cable bridge they crossed, the sunrise breakfast they had on an outcropping, and the turtle shell she found. "The weather couldn't have been better," she said despite the reports seen on national news. "She has a positive vibe all around her that spread to the rest of us," Ronny said.

We're all awaiting the remaining teams and anxious to find out who will place first overall in the PRO Category, which team will win the USARA Nationals qualifying spot, and who will win the Adventure categories!
