Adventure Plus Endurance!

With the Teaser course starting first for this event there was a huge crowd gathered to cheer them home as the first competitors of the day ran the hard climb up to the finish.

First across the line was the Awesome ‘Brookfield Bandits’ team closely followed by Max Morrison-Rose claiming 1st place in the U15 males, Annabelle Dougall claiming 1st place in the U15 females, Emily Riggall taking 1st in the over 15 females and Justin Holbrook taking 1st for the over 15 males.

With the long course competitors waiting to start their waves it was great to see them still cheering the Teasers up the hill to the finish.
With the Open wave into the water Nicolas Dougall set a blistering time for the swim clocking 4:34 for the first swim leg, out of the water first he was closely followed by Bryn Somers, Shane Wharton and Jeff Toohey. A fast T1 had Al Wallace hot on their heals as the chasing pack went out onto the first 10km MTB leg.

Connie Silvestri lead the females out of the water with a 5:39 swim time and a lead she would not relinquish all day.

Fastest female swim time for leg 1 was Ellie Wilson in 5:35.
