Ecomotion/Pro 2009
The Difference Between the Leaders Decreases
Wladimir Togumi / 24.11.2009

Now QuasarLontra is less than 2 hours ahead of Adventure Camp Repelex - the team including Nora Audra and Ian Edmond, who came into PC11 in second place.
QuasarLontra didn´t find the correct path to CP 10, lost a lot of time and decided to sleep on the course. They appeared at CP10 at 8h00.
Timberland Selva Kailash kept third place from the end of the canoeing section and after a smooth transition, left the CP 11 at 13:30.
The heat - more than 30 degrees - and steep slopes are demanding a lot of the participants. Team Oskalunga International and Medialast arrived together at 14:29 but the international team (Brazil/Sweden/USA) made a quicker transition and went ahead.
Paul Romero commented that this is certainly the hardest edition of Ecomotion Pro due to the never-ending uphills.
On the third day of the race the entire group of participants are already scattered throughout the route. While the top teams are going through PC12, others have not even arrived in PC05, which requires considerable work on the part of the organization so they know their positions.
The leaders are expected to finish the race between Wednesday and Thursday, but estimates of time decreased slightly on Wednesday. The organization works with 3 tracks of estimates in accordance with the progression of teams - fast, medium and slow - and until yesterday the fastest one was being followed. With the arrival of QuasarLontra at 10.00 in President Kubitschek, the medium speed track is now being followed.
