This beautiful trekking down a path in the middle of the highland reached 3300 meters of altitude, and ended up at the mountain forest with an altitude of 1656 meters. Team Raid 74 decided not to do this trekking and navigate through a parallel route as part of their strategy.
Team Ecuador – Chevrolet, however, was the first to arrive to CP 7, the 220 meter Tyrolean traverse. There is very little distance among the first three teams.
Six adventure category teams took too long in the trekking before CP 4, hence the organization decided to do a cutoff and take them directly to camp for security reasons.
The girl from team Metropolitan Touring Equivida; Amanda Putchert was the first to withdraw at CP 6, but her team continues out of competition. Team Fuji Todo Terreno, opened their radio since they got lost during the trekking with team V 220 and Taapaq Pacha. They will be out of ranking but they are motivated to continue.
This night is crucial to define the positions for the race so all teams should focus on the orientation going up the high paramo of Piñan. <br />
