Camp Cooroora on the banks of Lake Macdonald played host to Race HQ as the first teams started to arrive even before the sun had risen, the smart ones arriving the night before and camping had a leisurely start as Mount Cotton Scouts got the breakfast burgers going and the Jungle Bean Coffee Van started the first Cappuccinos of many that day.
With the HardCore teams starting at 8am all teams members had to be on the ball right from the start, register, plan, sort kit and be ready for the essential pre-race safety brief providing them last minute course information and safety points.
As our Hardcore heroes lined up at the start line, the RAW Course teams were getting ready for registration with the excitement of the day building.
All teams were following a similar course, but with the circular nature of the course design, the disciplines were approached in a different order for each category.
