The adidas Terrex Adventure Race
adidas Terrex Race Set to Go
News Release / 18.08.2010

The adidas TERREX Adventure Race commences in the town of Keswick on August 26th with a Prologue which is open to all racers, not just those taking part in the full race. This starts at 19.30 in Keswick town centre and is a FREE race open to teams of four. The aim of the Prologue is to put on a bite size adventure race for local people and teams that want a piece of the action without entering the full race.
The main race commences in the early hours of Friday 27th August and teams can expect to traverse the fells by foot, swoop down the area’s best single track on a mountain bike and to paddle across the famous lakes. There will be a few hidden surprises to keep the team on their toes and the course is sure to be a true test of each athlete’s mental and physical stamina.
It will take racers between 3 and 4 days to reach the finish and athletes can be expected to be seen arriving back in Keswick in the early hours of Monday morning on the 30th August and throughout the day.
All the teams will carry a tracker and their live progress can be watched on www.adidas-ar.com where there will also be regular updates on the team’s progress and clips of film footage and images from the actual event. The event is being televised for an hour on Channel 4 in the UK on November 7th at 07.30.
