The flow of teams streaming across the line started this afternoon and is continuing into this evening. As teams arrive they are being greeted by their support crews, Geocentric staff and volunteers.

First the Mexicans came across the line to win the race overral in 33 hours, 10 minutes. They were greeted by photographers, a cheering crowd and celebrated with by dousing themselves in champagne. A hot pizza was quickly consumed and the team sat down for a well earned break after completing what has been a gruelling course.

Team iAdventure/iRule were about about a quarter hour behind crossing the line at 15:38 to be the first male team in from the full course. This team with two GeoQuest virgins had a spectacular race with few nav errors. Grant was hurting a bit on the last leg when trying to run, but other than that the team was in good spirits and are stoked to be one of the few mens teams to finish a GeoQuest race in 2nd place overral.

Team Cartera Maps have just come in 3rd a couple hours behind iAdventure, pipping Infinit Nutrition Scar at the post for third place. Scar who will take out 2nd place in the mens are not far behind though and will be crossing the finish line in a matter of moments.

In the half course there have been numerous teams across the line now including Fully Rad to the Power of Sick, Nightlightning - Bayer Health, Steves Country Diner - Autobots, and Yknot. Bear Sports therapy, Birdon 01 and Leaky Hams are minutes away as well. There certainly be a few stories shared over dinner and drinks tonight as teams relive what for some has probably been one of the toughest races they've competed in to date.

A special mention goes to the hike a bike leg that full course teams completed before the final trek from Lake Cathie home. I'm told Craig must've picked the steepest big hill around, one that you'd barely walk up and teams have done this pushing a bike. They don't call it Adventure Racing for nothing!
