STAGE 2: Jungle run to Preah Khan temple

Stage 2 is finished now after 40.0 km. All 29 runners finished an impressive course with 11 km through jungle and a finish at the gate of the Preah Khan temple, built in year 1100.
The winner of Stage 2 was again Spain’s Salvador Calvo, in 3:44, followed by Manuel Pastor from Spain’s in 3:54, and Switzerland’s Daniel Meyes in 4:07.
The first woman was again the impressive Sophie Power in 4:58, followed again by Aisling Coppinger from Ireland. Third place went again to France’s Valerie Levai.
Nothing changed in the women’s overall classification. It is as finish today.
In the men’s ranking, the leader is Salvador Calvo with
19 minutes ahead of Manuel Pastor. Coming from behind now at rank two is Swiss Daniel Meyes.
Indians Jagdeep Kairon and Arvind Sirohi, ranking 28th and 29th, finished the day after a hard fight, but both are in a very good mood.
All runners are well and looking forward to the 3rd stage and longest stage tomorrow: 62km.
