So, to give a quick early evening update on the status of various teams in the race, while they're mainly out on the long trek stage. Unfortunately the abseil above the Poisoned Glen has been called off, so the long trek and ropes is now just the long trek.
Columbia Ireland are still in the lead, and have now passed CP36, where the abseil was to have taken place. Moxie Racers and 24H Meals are both hot on their heels and close together.
Team No Towrope (TNT) are down to three team members, having misplaced their navigator. They've had several hours sleep at the Dunlewey Centre TA and have now been adopted by Basecamp AR so are contininuing on the full trek. Adventurers Assemble are also down to three, and have decided they aren't confident enough navigators to do the full trek so have just been for a trek up Mount Errigal to keep themselves mobile.
Dogleap, A.N. Others, Delta Denmark, BRCK AR, Outsider, BigO and Kinsale Raiders are all still full coursed and continuing. Kinsale AR, DC Energy/Black Sheep and Adventure Race Squad Extreme (no, I'm not abbreviating that one...) are all short coursed but still on the move. Voodoo Performance are sadly out of the race due to an injury, as are Roe Valley due to sickness.
