The 2013 Gold Rush Mother Lode is going to be a spectacular event and we are super exited to show this course to the world. The Gold Rush Mother Lode is the only North American event in the 2013 Adventure Racing World Series. The terrain in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountain of California is spectacular. The country is rugged with a mix of high desert, alpine forest, and rugged granite and volcanic mountains, all above 2000 meters elevation.  The route covers some well known geography, and some very remote and seldom visited areas. Disciplines include flat water kayaking, mountain biking, trekking, cross country navigation, and a fixed ropes course. Don't miss this race!

Teams that travel a great distance to this event should plan time to visit nearby scenic attractions such as Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake, Yosemite, and Mount Whitney.
