In 2014 we go down south on the Brazilian coast and chose the Southeast as our new playground. Next to the two largest Brazilian capitals, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, the scenario will be the mountains of Serra da Mantiqueira, a region that hosts the highest Brazilian mountains, the Vale do Paraíba, filled with running waters, since it is home to an important river basin: the Paraíba do Sul, the dense Atlantic Forest and its high biodiversity of Serra do Mar and the beaches, islands and paradise seas of the Southeast Brazilian Coast.   

Ecomotion/Pro will be held from 19 to 28 of September 2014, in full Brazilian spring, amongst the colorful nature of flowers and pleasant temperatures between 15 and 27 ºC.  

The race remains expeditionary, with an approximate 500-km course and a great altimetry and Biomes variation. It also brings new disciplines, with more options for adventurers to participate.

The main category, ARWS, continues to be unsupported and is the only category that competes for money prize and spots in the AR World Championship. In the Pro category, 4-person teams will have to bring along their own support team. And there will also be the chance to compete in two-person teams, unsupported.
