This Mountain Challenge has an (optional) open estuary kayak up the Conwy River from beliow the walls of Conwy Castle on a rising tide for 13kms. This is followed by a 12km fell run taking you into the lesser known parts of the Carneddau mountain range in the Snowdonia National Park. Starting and finishing virtually at sea-level but reaching an altitude of almost 500m, with a real mountain feel and views to match. The final leg a 19km mountain bike loop around the Gwydyr Forest , including many single track sections of the legendary Marin Trail. The event can be done as either the full triathlon (solo) or as a duathlon (run & bike only). There is an option to enter as a three person team with each member doing one discipline. Each team must contain at least one female. The event centre is at Nant Conwy Rugby Club, near Trefriw
