Urban Adventure Racing is the hottest new trend in extreme sports. Incorporating urban elements into the traditional race disciplines, teams will race through the streets of the city environment, weaving in and out of buildings, along pathways, up and down hundreds of stairs, along beaches, and through the downtown core. The race will have a paddling stage, as well as mountain biking with plenty of first-rate single-track. Look for additional urban disciplines like in-line skating and scootering.


The Mind Over Mountain Urban Adventure Race will be part of the 2nd Annual Vancouver Island Adventure Games which will feature exciting events such as street luge, mountain bike downhill, BMX box jumping, skateboarding, and kayak racing over the course of a weekend. Live bands will be playing all weekend and there will be a very festive and fun beer garden. The downtown core will be packed with spectators [10,000+] and our race will be right in the middle of it all. This event is limited to 100 teams so get your buddies or co-workers together and start your training early for what will be the most challenging, exciting, and fun race of the year.
