Anaconda Adventure Race, Geographe Bay

Location: Geographe Bay region
The Geographe Bay region 2 hours south of Perth is one of the most spectacular places in Australia for sight-seeing. So ... we decided to hold a race there and give those sight-seers something to look at.
The course involves a 1.9km open water swim in the ultra clear turquoise waters surrounding Dunsborough, then a 12.5km coasteer/trail run along the surprisingly grippy quartzose sandstone that lines the coast. At some points the terrain will force you into the water, so be prepared. Then onto the mountain bike for a ride across to a cave, where a checkpoint based will ensure you have your wits about you. Back onto the bike to finish a total of 20kms cycling and leaving Bunker Bay, you will head all the way back (swell assisted) past Dunsborough before a short beach run of aroudn 2km to the finish line.
Do it as a relay team of 2-4, an individual or as a pair, completing the whole course within sight of each other.
This is a course not to be missed. We are offering $12,000 total of cash prizes for individuals, winning team and fastest individual legs (irrepsective of category). Great sponsor prizes will be on offer for winners, placegetters and random draw winners as well.
