Length: 0 miles
Just a reminder to get your entries in for this event which is the 8th in the Techtrail National Series and the 7th in the Magellan Midlands Series.
It is a new area, never been trailquested before. We are not using last years trails with all the sand but a completely new set of Bridlepaths that don\'t see many Mountain Bikers. However, we have some excellent trails available for you.
I have been out on the trails for a few days in the last week or so and despite the recent rain they are very, very dry - no gloopy mud - only one or two soft bits. Some are very fast others need considerable technical skill to stay on the bike. If you like hills there will be plenty but depending on route choice some relatively flattish areas.
Naturally I can\'t guarantee the weather but the recent rain has just disappeared leaving dry trails. If it remains dryish the riding will be excellent.
The views and scenery are stunning, one control is located at one of the best but little known viewpoints in the Midlands.
Depending on route choice you will pass through cider apple orchards, woods - beware game birds (feathered variety) - you may even get wet feet!
There will be difficult route choices but the control descriptions will be accurate.
Entry forms on the site and an event centre location map on the Midlands Trailquests website at http://www.midlandtrailquests.co.uk/events.php#
Plenty of local accommodation and Caravan and Camping parks in the locality, see http://www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/wfdc_docs/planning/wyreforest.pdf for details.
Don\'t forget that to be sure of a full colour map, your entry has to be in by 19th September 2006.
Looking forward to seeing you on 24th.
