The Bearable Adventure Race challenges, energizes, and rewards outdoor enthusiasts and their teammates through competition and camaraderie in a variety of outdoor events such as Mountain Biking, Trail Running, Orienteering and a Water Crossing at Bear Creek Lake Park in the City of Lakewood, Colorado. The race is a production of the City of Lakewood Recreation and Regional Parks divisions.
There are 3 ways to register for The Bearable Adventure Race 2009. The fees are as follows: $89/team before July 5, $109/team July 6-September 7, $129/team September 8-11.

Sunday, September 13, 2009. Transition area opens at 6:30am. Athletes are required to be at the Starting Line by 8:15am for a mandatory pre-race meeting; first wave of the race begins at 8:30am.
Bear Creek Lake Park, 15600 W. Morrison Road, Lakewood, Colorado
The entrance to Lakewood\'s wild and wide-open Bear Creek Lake Park is just east of C-470 on Morrison Road.
NOTE: Due to limited parking at Bear Creek Lake Park, participants and families should carpool on the day of the race. Also, be aware that certain portions of the park will be closed to the public before and during the race.

Teams of two will compete in the following events:

Lake Crossing (TBA)
Mountain Trail Bike (TBA)
Trail Run (TBA)
Race cut off time: If your team does not finish the mountain bike course within 3.5 hours, your team will be asked to discontinue the race.

Adult & Youth (anyone over the age of 18, that is currently not enrolled in high school, teamed up with anyone under age 18)
High School (must have valid High School ID) *NEW!
The top three teams in each division will be recognized, and there will be a number of other great prizes.

Shoes must be worn at all times during the ENTIRE course. You may use more than one pair.
Personal hydration. This is a \"self sufficient\" race and all participants must be responsible for their own supply of hydration and fuel/food needs.
