Two races in one! The 18 hour Elite Division begins at 1800 on 18 September. The 6 hour Sport Division begins at 0800 on 19 September.

The Elite Division is grueling: no marked courses, all orienteering, all the time. No prior information about number of legs, distance, or sequence of disciplines. Racers find out about each leg as they begin it. Teams carry all gear all the time EXCEPT boats and bikes. NO SUPPORT ON THE COURSE EXCEPT WATER. NO support teams authorised. Race starts after sundown, 11.5 hours before sunrise. The quarter moon sets 3 hours after race start. Be prepared to navigate, ride, run and/or paddle in the dark.

Sport Division is more benign. Run, bike, and canoe courses are marked, except for a separate orienteering course. Distance and sequence of events for Sport Division announced at packet pick-up. Race is looped around a more or less central transition area.
