Happy Birthday Sea 2 Summit!

The staff of sleepmonsters.ca (Doug and I) took Dean Payne up on his offer of racing in the 10th edition of the Sea 2 Summit. This is the granddaddy of races in Canada. Dean Payne has put a decade in to this sport in Canada and before we go any further - a round of applause to this beautiful, red-haired, vivacious young man!

The S2S staff has built a race up on experience. To the critical eye, you\'ll notice things most of his racers\' take for granted. Items that make most race directors cringe such as: CN staff at uncontrolled railway crossings (permit hell!), 1st aid staff everywhere, traffic control volunteers, cheering crowds along the course, RCMP escorts, Coast Guard water support, and so on. This race has well-established itself in the communities of North Vancouver-Squamish-Whistler and it is more than justified.

Despite Doug and I\'s initially thoughts of leading the pack from the start, we decided to go for the win in the team\'s-who\'s-ages-add-up-to-82-and-Geraldo-lookalike division.
