Wan Dae - Carron Valley
Wan Fine Dae
Bruce Duncan / 07.09.2006

We were hidden round a corner from the bikes, setup for a quick run to grab them and the descriptions, but unbeknownst to us all, our bikes had all been moved, so panic quickly set in, then relief and amusement.
We (Paul Currant, Clive Parry and Bruce Duncan www.Urbanadventuregear.com) set off on the bikes to the north east, to get a few controls on the road, then after a tricky puzzle to solve (made trickier by incorrect instructions) we hit an amazing escarpment that we rode along, the drizzle made for interesting riding, but the views were stunning, we just made sure we didn’t fall left!
A long road section then ensued to get us to the kayaks, at the west end of the Carron reservoir. We were happily cycling along when Clive calmly asked what had happened to his bike (well my bike, but he was borrowing it, having flown up from London). What had happened was that the left crank had fallen off!
