Russians Rule at the World Rogaining Championships

In short the race was dominated by Russian teams achieving first (Dombrovskiy-Shestakov) and third (Kalinin-Yachenko) place in the overall ranking leaving the expected trophy candidates of Forne-Monchy from New Zealand and Seidl-Boranek from the Czech Republic to second and sixth positions respectively.
The local hopes, the brothers Eensaar, lost out in the race for a podium place in a tight competition finishing with the same points total as Kalinin-Yachenko from Russia, but in a longer time. (Both scored 288 points.)
