Subaru Primal Quest
Can\'t get Enough of California
Gordon Wright (SPQ) / 12.09.2003

Unofficially, the top ten in order are: Nike ACG/Balance Bar (Ian Adamson – USA), AROC (Nigel Aylott – Australia), Seagate (Nathan Fa’avae
– New Zealand), PARALLAX (Steve Gurney – New Zealand), GoLite (Billy Mattison – USA), Nokia Adventure (Petri Forsman – Finland), Subaru (Dan
Rathbun – USA), Epinephrine/SOLE Custom Footbeds (Karen Lundgren), Reebok Adventure (Mikael Nordstrom – Sweden), and Supplierpipeline (Bob
Miller – Canada).
Team Buff of Spain was the seventh team to cross the finish line, albeit unranked.
As of 9:30 p.m. Thursday night 45 teams still remained on the course, including four teams on the short course and two teams racing the
complete one unranked. 21 teams had withdrawn.
Racers have understandably been very excited to reach the finish line, although some sounded as if they want to go right back out and do it all
again.
\"We just need a sleep and then we\'re ready for the next race. Where do we sign up?\" Phil Wood of Team ICEBUG, who placed 12th unofficially,
asked at the finish line.
\"We saw some really special country out there,\" said Wood, thanking SPQ Director of Operations Maria Burton for a great race. \"I can\'t wait to
lay out some maps and see everywhere we went.\"
