MOMAR Cumberland
Both an anniversary and a record:
Jacqueline Windh / 24.09.2009

I'll be entering this race again - with more experience behind me than before, but almost no time to train this summer. So, I know it will be fun (because this race always is!), but I am not going in with any high expectations (I'd have entered the 30 km instead if they had a individual category).
The field is pretty interesting this year: quite international, with teams enteed from Ireland and Australia! Also, there is quite a spread in ages, with Campbell River team "Peace Love Race" including two teenagers, 15 y Breane Flohr and 16 yo Sam Marcheco-Crespo racin the full 50 km course, as well as 16 yo Alexandra Lane from Prince George racing on team Coast Mountain Sports 1 racing the Sport course.
Good on you! You are great examples of what young people can do - and you are also getting some great race experience early on, which will probably serve you well in the future.
I won't highlight the other end of the age spectrum... but there are several racers in their mid- and late 50s who will also be competing - also very inspiring!
Stay tuned to SleepMonsters for my reports from the field. Saturday is race day - and the weather is looking to be great!
