Running Spirit in Maokong at the NISSAN Action Asia X-trail Taiwan

A race that you would not want to miss, trekking through the forests and mountains in the Maokong, Taipei, NISSAN Action Asia X-trail TAIWAN this year will be held on the 25th September 2016.

With the opportunity to stand on top of the Er Ger Shan and overlook the breath-taking scenery, trail running enthusiasts could not help taking the challenge and giving it all out. Running, breathing and sweating, all together with local and international runners, climbing across the beautiful mountains bring people closer to not only the nature, but also to each other as well.

Guo Wan-ting, the women champion of 2015 MSIG Taiwan Action Asia 50, is looking forward to racing in the beautiful mountains. She shared her journey of trail running, “I witnessed the happiness of every single friend of mine when they are in the forest, including the trails of mountain, mud, and stone. After the steep climbing, we are able to enjoy the incredible view on the mountaintop. At the same time, we share our thoughts and funs along the trail. All these are keeping me to go further in trail running.” 

Ching Chou, the fastest Asian runner who took the 3rd prize of 17km in 2015 OtterBox Action Asia X-trail, holds the same expectation for Taiwan trail running and said, “I hope the trail race in Taiwan would develop as successfully as the ones in Hong Kong and Japan. Actually, not many people really appreciate the beautiful natural scene in Taiwan. After attending the Hash race, I am truly moved by the amazing views of Taiwan.”
